Based at BBC North, Julie is Managing Editor for BBC Radio 5 Live and takes a hands on role running the hugely popular network.
Prior to joining the 5 Live management team, Julie held a number of roles at 6 Music including music news journalist, presenter, executive producer, editor and commissioning executive, creating compelling content to engage audiences on all platforms.
Julie joined BBC Newsroom Southeast in Elstree in 1996 after graduating from the Regional News Training Scheme in Bristol and has also led teams at BBC London.
